I'm a typical drysuit diver this time of year but my wife and I are going on a cruise to Bahamas. Want to dive on our stop in Nassau. Will my 3mil be enough?

Or what should I expect the water temps to be during this time of year?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi, Jeremy,

A 3 mil suit should be just fine. The wt will probably hover between 76 and 80 deg F.

Usually cruise ship stops do not allow for much diving, but if you have time, Stuart Cove's shark dive is fun. Some folks object to this kind of dive, but, obviously, I don't.

I have never been on a cruise, but I have seen some pretty awful examples of cattle boat, conga line diving from cruise ships. If you have sufficient time and can arrange for your own diving, it might be a better experience--but I am just extrapolating from observation and not actual experience.
