I have seen a pattern develop lately, as this board membership continues to expand we will be exposed more frequently to this type of personality.

When someone is saying something in what appears to be an attempt to draw attention to themselves or "troll" take a quick moment and take a peek at thier profile.

I have noticed that more often than not it is those who have post counts approaching or greater than ten per day and have not been members of the board very long rarely if ever contribute anything of substance to the group.

I have also watched as these same individuals rapidly became bored with the board and left...

Those of us who remember the CB radio craze of the 1970's found the same thing with the traffic on the channels, especially channel 19. You cannot stop the hubris.

Sometimes I am frustrated with some of the posts and the highjacking jobs done on them. The frustration shows, then, in my posts.

Such is life.

CB Radio. Ah that brings back some fond and some humorous memories. Talk about "trolls"! It was too easy back then to get people all spun up. I knew some people that really got off on getting people all fired up and looking for them.

We still refer to "Channel 14 People" when we are talking about people that get all spun up and head off in a tizzy looking to get revenge when they have no clue what they are doing etc.

No, but you can shorten its lifespan considerably by the use of a delete poster button. But, you have to have someone who will actually push the button.
