I have not been to Beqa but know people that have and they all say the shark dive is awesome but the rest of the diving is crap
I have been to Namena and it is the best diving I have done.Keep in mind I have dived quite a bit round the world including 7 weeks of diving in Fiji over 3 trips.
Namena was amazing and if you go there and still want to see sharks get in touch with Colin or Janine at Korosun dive. They have a spot where they regularly see large packs of hammerheads. When I went there I tried to count them but gave up when I got to 20.They are a great dive outfit and they are now based at Savasi Island Resort in Savusavu which is not cheap but is a great place. There is heaps of accomadation in Savusavu and it is an interesting place.
The only downside to Namena is it is a long boat ride unless you stay right there at woodys namena resort

Ahhhhh Fiji. So many resorts and so little time. How about Matava Eco or Wananavu or Taveuni or Toberua or Qamea or Matangi or VoliVoli....?

I've been to Beqa. I thought the shark dive was pretty mediocre and there were way too many divers in the water from the various dive companies for such a small dive site. I went on a dive trip to Beqa for a week a few years ago because so many people had told me it was a great shark dive - I think it is wildly overrated. I think the whole shark dive operation is poorly managed. They've got people on that dive who are barely OW certified diving sitting on the bottom at 26-27 meters and running out of air very quickly, and everyone is forced to surface in a group at the same time (for safety reasons). This makes it a less than ideal dive for those more experienced divers who are better on their air coming up with over half a tank left.

I actually preferred the reef dives around Beqa to be totally honest. They're also nothing spectacular, but I found them more enjoyable than the shark dive regardless.

Went to Beqa Lagoon a couple of years ago----loved it!!!...Got to dive WITH 2 Tigers on the shark dive(they let us out in the 'arena' to get better shots)--also--- that was the 1st time in 3 weeks any Tigers had shown up, a 14 footer showed up about 6 or 7 minutes into 1st dive ----then on 2nd tank(dive)it was there immediately then an 18 footer came in(& we didn't see the 14 footer anymore...:))...Regular reef diving was very good also, lotsa beautiful, colorful soft coral--& lotsa fish(wildlife) IMO.......
