Hi all -

I've been thinking about making the jump to an external strobe... I'm a pretty novice UW photographer; usually shooting close-in (never used a lens).

I see Sea & Sea offers a package with the Sea Arm VII and a YS-01 for $579: Sea & Sea YS-01 Universal Lighting Package SS-70043 B&H Photo

Would this be a decent choice? At this point I'd like a strobe that I can use with manual/CHDK-TTL on the camera. And one that will still be useful if I eventually invest in a higher-end camera/housing.

The strobe is a very good choice for compact cameras but I would look to get a better tray and arm setup - I had that set and tossed them as soon as I could.

There are better trays and arms out there - have a look at Backscatter, Bluewater or Reef Photo and Video etc.
