I did a search, but that only turned up stories, no real pro/cons.

The job would be cleaning aquarium, feeding, etc. 3 hours every other week. I use their equipment, except wetsuit.

anybody?

Lucky rascal.

Go for it!

I would research into what the policies & procedures are for the cleaning divers, are.Where I agree, yes, it could be a dream job, it could also (in the event of an accident) leave you without a way to support yourself &/or your family. Basically, just make sure you have all your bases covered is all I would suggest. If all looks to be favorable,..... GO FOR IT!:14:

JOB? the OP said VOLUNTEER...

For the sake of getting wet a few hours every other week, it might be fun, but I guess it depends on what is involved.

That is some advice I would follow! If not then take a pass.

Never work for free... You're allowing the employer to take advantage of you and use your free labor to avoid hiring regular employees. If everyone said no, they would have to hire someone.

That's why it's difficult to make a living in the dive industry because there are too many people that will work for free or at a reduced rate.

There are too many part time Instructors that keep the price of classes artifically low and prevent high quality instructors from charging what they should be charging. Ultimately, leading to the reduction in the quality of training.
