Some underwater photos placed pretty well, even though, as a general rule, my uw shots usually don't score very well in competitions. I think most of the judges just don't "get" them because I'm the only person who shoots uw. A lot of judges don't even know what they're looking at. :wink:
Now in uw competitions up against "real" uw photogs, my photos do much worse. :rofl3: Twirling Bluebells (not an uw shot) won Image of the Year in Beginner Class in our year-end competition. I was shocked, and thrilled, when I found out. I missed the year-end awards dinner because I was in Galapagos. I know. Poor me. :D
I will post some photos from there in the not-too-distant future.
