Freckle faced blenny is one common name, or red spotted blenny, or red freckled blenny. Blenniella periophthalmus. Nice pic of a very wiggly little fish. and I agree with your wife, they are cute!

They sure are cute blennies. Are those one of the most common fishes around the world? At least there seems to be some at pretty much everywhere...

There are species of blennies almost everywhere. Freckled blennies aren't really rare, but they live in surgey intertidal areas where finding them and then photographing them are a challenge, add to this is that they are wary and shy.
