Here are my two dive lights:
UK C8 eLED
Intova Compact Torch 4.7 watt LED
They were both bought new by me. The first dive with them was several months ago. The second was about 3 weeks ago.
During the second dive, the UK went out about 15 minutes into the dive. I switched it off then on, still no light. I gave it a quick whack, it came right back on, and functioned properly for the rest of the dive.
At the end of the trip, I opened up both lights, and the insides were completely dry.
A few days later, i picked up the Intova to store it, and a drop of water fell from the switch on the butt of the light. I tried the switch and it came on, but kept switching between high, low and strobe as if the button were being constantly pushed.
Now both lights work fine, but I have lost faith in them. What if they both die on my next night dive? Intermittent failures are the worst. Any suggestions?
