it is always better so start with a Doctor. She might have too much wax around the ear drump, or other issues. Seek a doctor.

If they are blocking her vision, I'd highly recommend ERS(ear reduction surgery). If it's about equalizing, I'd have her do a Try Scuba. Most people are only lacking technique and once they have that, ears are no longer a problem.
