Well I really didn't know where else to post this.....but I really wanted to post it since it was WAY to much fun, so please if its the wrong place feel free to close/move it!

It was a cool process getting our actual cert underwater, and having a little fun with it. We were on a live aboard for 3 days 2 nights......we did a night dive (awesome) as well as about 8 dives total and some really good snorkeling!

I'm hooked now, I have all my stuff waiting at home(its below, gah cant wait to get home from the sandbox), though I can say that Im probably a little spoiled diving in AUS, then going back to DC to go dive in the cold :D.

You dove with CDC in Cairns didnt you? Thats where i got my OW and had a total blast with those guys on the boat.

A little off topic, but what is that type of entry in photo 5? It looks unique. On topic, congratulations. Cold water diving is pretty fun.

Fncrow- It sure was, they were awesome, and I recommend them to ANYONE that wants to have a good time out there!

Scuba_Noob- They called that the "James-bond" entry, pretty much just a front roll in.....we tried to see how much rotation we could get outta it off the boat :P....a little more fun than the giant step hah.

Congrats! If you can manage it before going home, try to squeeze in some diving in SE Asia... Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines.... though it might really spoil you.

Yeah, that JB entry is popular at Tao, too. I personally think diving is enough fun without having to hot-dog on the entries, but boys will be boys, I suppose. A couple of the other pictures.... um, they shoved your c-cards into live coral? And you drank beer during a dive?

I thought that was odd myself. Destroying the reef and consuming alcohol on a dive?

I cant comment on the reef thing as when i did my cert with them they stuck the cards in the sand next to the coral.... as for the beer its an empty can, you arent drinking anything... cept maybe salt water if you actually try to drink it.
