My Oceanic Mini Shadow mask smells

I have an Oceanic mini shadow mask, the black skirted type. It is new and reeks like an old armpit. I have no idea why. No... It was like this since I purchased it. It was not stored improperly. I cannot get it to stop stinking. Anyone come across this before?

I will assume you tried cleaning with a mild non rubber offensive soap or whatever....

Try this....instead of spitting into it or using a commercial defogger...take some no tears baby shampoo and mix with water and squirt that into your mask just before diving as your defogger...

It not only works great as a defogger...but it smells really nice too. The nicests thing is.....if you try it and it does not work for you....you are not out a small fortune .
