G'day all,

I have just completed my website with a lot of help, its up and running and will be improved in the near future.
I have 2 photo galleries up at the moment and will add more soon.
All my photos were taken with a Sea & Sea MX-10 and various lenses.
I would appreciate any comments and feedback about the site and my photos.

Great photos!! Wow your lucky to have such a great place to dive
in!! visibility here is about 15 feet on average.
Great web site!! cya Rick L

Pictures look great. I too come from 5-15 feet of visibility, best I have dove in was about 25 ft visibility. Someday I will head south, to warm and clear, rather than cold and dark.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of your photos. Very nice shots.

Beautiful! I envy you for your dive sites!

Nice photos, John! I have been thinking that the macro lens would be my next MX-10 related purchase. Any advice on that front? Thanks.

Hi Kelpmermaid,

The macro lens is a must for the MX-10, it takes truly great photos, being so close to your subject it eliminates all backscatter and the colours are so natural and bright.
As well as being so easy to use, all you need to do is put your fstop setting on f22 for 90% of your subjects, sometimes if your subject is very bright you may want to try f16, but I do suggest you purchase the Macro lens, it will give you great shots of all the small marine creatures.

good luck

The macro lens for the MX-10 has an arm that hinges down with a framer on the front of it. IIRC, the framer is 7" in front on the lens. You don't have to use the viewfinder, just position the framer in front of the subject and it's the perfect distance. The area between the posts on the framer is the middle of the depth of field, which is only about 1/2"-1" at f/16 or f/22. This isn't a problem with stationary subjects like anemones, but it can be tricky with fish and critters.

One fish that makes it easy is Damsels. They have no fear and if you are just a bit patient, s/he will eventually swim through the posts! Like this.....Dusky Damsel

Great pics... I am VERY jealous of your great dives! :dazzle:
