Thanks!

I've bin to sipadan indeed but actualy got only one good shot of it (the one with the jack fish swimming behind the coral). The conditions over there were not so good (waves and not so good visibility) and also at the second dive we missed the school of baracuda's and see nothing special the whole dive and the third dive I forgat to put in a new batery...

Now I have to buy a new camera. I'm thinking a bit of an upgrade but want to keep things compact and flexible. From what I reed at the internet it seems that the best option is the sony RX100 mk2 but I will do some more research before I make a decesion. The downdside of the rx100 II is that all the workable housings are a bit pricy.

That is too bad you didnt have that great of an experience in Sipadan but if you look at it on the bright side maybe that is a good excuse to go back.
About the camera, if you would allow me to recommend something to you is that if you are going to make an investment might as well go for something with better quality like the mirrorless systems that are coming out. They have incredible quality and they are not much bigger that the RX100. This way you have the quelity of a macro or wide angle lens which it's much better that the lens on almost any point and shoot.
That is what I would do but of course it is up to you, myself I am going to buy in the next couple of weeks a Sony a 6000 with the awesome Sea&Sea housing.
Hope this is helpful
Cheers

Thanks, Indeed I found an interesting mirrorles option with the same flexibility as the RX100 (macro and wide in one dive): the E-PL7 + 14-42 EZ. I read that with this set up I can still use my UWL H100+dome and UCL65. And its even at a lower cost than the RX100+nauticam or sea&sea housing. I just made a thread about this at the main forum to get some more imput from people who have the same set up.
