First Underwater Photos

This was my first attempt at taking some pictures underwater. They were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 995 housed in an Aquatica 995A housing w/ dual Sea & Sea YS90DX strobes.

I bought this setup after lots of online research in many placed including this form...thanks everyone for the good advice. Other than a few minor quibbles I am very happy with the setup.

Great Pics!

But where were they taken?!? You've gotta know by now that the members of this board won't be satisfied with so little info...

Happy Diving,

Scuba-sass :)

Great pictures, especially for a first try! Where were they taken? Look like cold water...

BTW...Welcome to the Board!

Great pictures for your first time!

I think everyone would like to know where you took them.

Welcome to the boards from the land that almost joined Atlantis.

Opps, as many have pointed out I forgot to mention where these pics were from. They were taken in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. I just got back from a trip diving up there.

I only took the camera on 2 dives, one of which the vis was horrible and the other was on a nice wall dive toward the end of my trip. Although not pictured...I also dove on the Sascatchawan, and the Cape Brenton which are popular artificial wreck dives there of the coast of Vancouver Island.

Thanks for the support...and I hope to have more pictures of cold water diving to show again soon. I live in Portland, OR and dive alot in the southern Puget sound area. Heck, someday I might even try out some of that sissy warm water stuff too :)

What resolution were you using for these photos? I have a coolpix but not housing. I have been using MMII-EX for underwater. I have been considering a housing for the 990 because I like digital. What type of housing do you have?

Thanks for you help.

A very amateur photographer.
