Chicagoland, USA. A diver who was scuba diving in a pool tonight ran out of oxygen and did not DIE. Do It Easy was diving in a pool with handicapped kids from the local special recreation association. He had descended and just a started a dive with another buddy and a 13 year old blind girl when he realized that there was no oxygen coming out of his regulator. He checked his pressure gauge, and in fact, it read empty. Instinctively, he reached behind and turned on the valve to his oxygen tank and suddenly, the oxygen was flowing again. Eye witnesses at the scene stated that the whole incident took less than 30 seconds and that Do It Easy even maintained his trim when manipulating his valve. Winston Zeddemore, the lifeguard on duty, said, "The whole thing happened so quickly that he didn't even have time to put his mask on his forehead to let his buddies know that he was in trouble." The initial sherriff's report revealed that another buddy had snuck up behind Do It Easy while he was talking at the surface, and turned off his oxygen tank as a practical joke. Do It Easy's weights were found at the side of the pool, where he had apparently forgot to put them on before entering the water.

60 Minutes will be right out.

I told you buddies were trouble :-)

(However, my buddy turns out to be even more troublesome than yours. Mine wants a car. Maybe I should have found a buddy rather than growing my own.)

herman:
What's he doing diving oxygen in a pool anyway?

That is the way the "reporter" described it...;)
