Hello,

I got my whites catalyst today with laytex seals. The seals are too tight on my neck. I know that I have to cut these. Can anyone tell me the proper procedure? I know that it shouldn't have jagged edges and so on, but can someone give me pointers?

Thanks

Basically you take a pair of (very sharp) scissors and make the cut. Be careful when cutting to just cut a ring or so at a time so that you don't go too far. Take your time and it'll come out fine.

Ah yes, the search function...

Basically the last thing you want to do is to take sissors to it.

Use the advanced search function in the Exposure suits section and you'll come up with a ton of information on trimming latex seals.

If you got the suit from your local shop, get them to do it for you, it's why you pay the extra $$.
If you got it somewhere else, it's a good idea to have someone that's already done it lend an extra couple hands.
I use a scissors for seal trimming, but it's a high quality (Fiskars) & that's the only thing it cuts.
If you stuff a can or something in the seal for the razor blade method, be sure not to stretch the seal too tight or there may be an unpleasant surprise.
