my catch from sports season (keys)

well my grandparents have a house about 20 mins from key west and i go down with my cousins for a few weeks and dive/lobster/fish

This is our loot from sports season, and the fish were shot along scouting days






these are 4 cubans who we discovered 18 miles from shore while we were dolphin fishing pretty neat and rare sight!







Last year when i was younger








keep in mind these are only from a few days, we got alot more fish but thats all for now enjoy
btw im 17 and speared those fish (permit on accident didnt know it was illegal so that hole is a "gaff" mark) all at around 40-50 feet free diving

The Permit is not illegal to spear in Florida - IF IT IS SHOT IN FEDERAL WATERS - and YOU PROCEED FROM FEDERAL WATERS ___ DIRECTLY TO PORT>

i shot it in Monroe county and in monroe county it is illegal to shoot permit as it is illegal to take 12 lobster a person u have to take 6 but in other parts of flordia it is differtent but Monroe for some reason is different

Listen to Richesb, he won't steer you wrong.

It is legal to shoot permit in federal waters (including Monroe) as long as you proceed directly to shore. The best way to prove this is your "tracks" from your GPS. Since you had a speargun with you and you know the boundries, you were most likely already in federal waters.

The 6 bugs per day during mini-season is a full day's history lesson if you do a google search as to why.

k well in that case i stand corrected haha and yeah we had our limit by 8 in the morning on first day of sports season which was 36 haha we ended up diving on some other guys boat and gettin 102 lobsters in 1 day but gave them mostly all awaya and ya it was good specially the cubanos

ok ur cool those are southern flordia lobster you dont find many bigger then those if ur getting 100 a day on sports season
