Hey,
I would like to get some feedback on where you guys think would be to obtain my Master Scuba Diver Training Program (MSDT). Keep in mind that I live in Canada and I am on a budget.

Cheers,
Jacques

You might get more answers in the Instructor forum.

It adds a level of training but can be done independently if you want, file for the courses you want to teach or are specialties in your area.

Just dive a bunch, ceritfy a bunch a bunch of divers, apply for 5 specialties and send in your $45 - voila. If you gotta have a MSDT rating to get a job with someone who hires noboby below that level, then you might think about finding someone who does the Specialty training for it.

Hey Steve...we may be in Kona in March!!! Will you be around???

I'm pretty much always around except for DEMA time and maybe a week in late spring when it slows down.

I see from your profile you've got a nice sized reef tank, any pictures posted anywhere? It'd be cool to see them. I used to own an aquarium shop years ago and had reef tanks back in the late 80's/early 90's. Things have advanced a bit since then.

From what I understand the main advantage, as an instructor, is that instead of having to certify a total of 25 people in order to qualify to teach the specialty courses, you only have to certify 4, notwithstanding the experience as a diver. Nwdiver2 is right; you're likely to get better feedback in the instructor's forum, or if all else fails, call PADI.
