I just got a Ranger LTD and I hear that most everyone moves the rear weight pockets to the top cam strap. Do I need to lower the top cam strap? Other wise the velcro "wraps" on the weight pockets wouldn't have anything to grab onto. Is this the correct thing to do?

Not sure why you would want to lower the top cam band. Unless the design is different than mine the velcro won't hold onto anything on top anyway. It's not that big of a deal just push the pockets back tight after you tighten the band on your tank. There is a thread on here about doing this, to a Brigade I think. As a reference I posted to it if you want to do a search.

You should not need to use the velcro straps. My pouches have a loop on the back that the cam band passes though it should slide over the buckle.
