Mouthpiece Fixture for R380 Scubapro Regulator - Help!

I have a funny looking 'lock' holding my original mouthpiece to the regulator. It is made in Italy and pat. pending. Normally a mouthpiece is fixed with a cable-tie to a regulator but on my R380 I can not remove the used mouthpiece and replace it.
I don't want to break that funny lock system as it seems to be re-usable

There's a little lever that lifts up, the whole thing loosens, and it slides right off.

It can be opened with a small screwdriver. There are a few pictures in my gallery showing the process: SANY0793 - - ScubaBoard Gallery

It is reusable but I retire mine in favor of a good old zip tie.
