I think it was an enjoyable vid. Ya can't go wrong in NC! Just go down and point the camera anywhere! I enjoyed the sound track also nice pause to get the snap of the speargun. I was there from 6/3-7 the Aeolus was the 1st dive we did there. I'll be going back!

Very nice! I'm headed to Wilmington in a couple of weeks for the "Birthday Dives" from what I have heard the Sharks are back in full force there as well. Can't wait. Who was the song you used by? I really liked it.

Nice video, gave you a like! I will be going in a couple of weeks with my nephew, his first my fourth.
It is such a cool time when the sharks are around!
See you topside! John

It was Finally Moving by Pretty Lights.

Nice video. Loved the soundtrack. Who was that? Sade?

Great, great, shark silouttes. Loved that part.

It didn't look like you were using a red filter on most of it, but then the reds really popped on the 80ft shelf...along with super abundant natural light. Can you explain?

There was indeed a red filter, though I was playing with the editing effects trying to learn the software as I'm new to this. I toned brightness down a bit to make it a bit more "spooky" and gave it a bit of help with the blues. I think I went overboard with saturation effects, but meh, learning as I go! :)

Hi,
I haven't been active on the board for several months (rehab for a non-diving injury) but I would like to comment on the video.

I would like to say the video has some great moments, but there are sections that you have so much movement it made me seasick... edit, edit, edit! Take out those segments, and make the video a bit shorter (it is too long, IMHO) and it would be so much better. Better to make your viewers think it was too short and beg for more than to bore them with similar shots over and over. ;)

I have only done a couple of dives in NC and plan to go back as I loved it. The water is dark, and surgy, so I understand how tough it can be to get good, crisp video. The GoPro does not give great video quality at such depths, low light, etc and so you can't get great color even using the red filter. For that reason, any deeper than 70-80', I would take off the red filter so you can get more light into the lens. That would help tremendously with crispness at depth!

Just my 2 cents.
