First time using our C5050 underwater, in the Keys early this month. Tips, comments, suggestions welcome.

Could someone tell me what type of creature this is?

Looks like a Pederson Cleaner Shrimp from the picture.

Dennis is right, it's a Pederson Cleaning shrimp. The anamone just below is a Corkscrew anemone and any time you see one, you'll more than likely find a slew of Pederson shrimps close by. They climb to a prominent location and wave their white antenae and sway their bodies back and forth to advertise that their cleaning station is open for business.

Great shop of the Grouper. Love those big Grouper.

We did all of our diving from a friends boat which he towed from Hendersonville, NC. We did have to be fairly selective about when we dove since the boat isn't that big, although we got lucky and were able to dive 8 of 10 days we were there. The best part was being able to just pick a dive site no matter where it was at. We didn't do some of the more popular dives since we wanted to do them (the Grove, Bibb, T-Bolt, etc.) from charter boats and we didn't call ahead, but no matter we were diving our behinds off anyway:wink:.

We are planning on an early Aug. trip next year, hopefully the vis will be a little better next time. But we don't have to wait till then for clear blue water since Bonaire is coming up in Jan., we have the bug bad:mean: .
