Anyone else entered in the Monterey Shootout, August 9-11? (Monterey Shootout - Underwater Photography, Videography, Competition in Monterey, California)?
I'm looking for a shore diving buddy for Saturday, and possibly Friday as well. I'm entered as a beginner since I have under 50 dives with photo equipment (here's what I've been able to get thus far: Underwater - a set on Flickr). I'm very new to diving, but I'm somewhat familiar with the area (dove San Carlos/Breakwater a few times, Lobos/Whalers Cove too). I'd rather dive with a photography-minded individual, rather than a buddy that I'll probably end up frustrating with boredom.
