I am going for business to Jamaica so I will already be there. Yes, I know the diving is less than ideal, but I'm a newer diver so any diving will be great.

I've settled on Montego Bay & Dressel Divers.

My questions:
1) Has anyone dove with them? Pros/Cons
2) How did you get from the airport SAFELY to your hotel (I've called a few hotels who have instructed me never to take a taxi)?

Thank you in advance for any response!

Been to Mobay twice , I enjoyed it. Did not dive with Dressel tho. Just beware of the red cap dudes at the airport the expect 3$ a bag once they touch em!! We always used the resort shuttles so I am no help there either .As far as diving goes, I did not find it that bad , yes it's very over fished. But it's still warm water and lots of great visibility! I just enjoy not having to wear a full two piece 7mm wet suit lol!!

Wish I had first hand info. Dove with Dressel in Mexico. Have read other Dressel reviews from other locations also as I thought about using them elsewhere. It is an Iberostar resort dive op. If you are staying at the Iberostar, it is convenient for diving. If not staying at that resort, they generally provide transportation from nearby resorts. Booking online gets you 20% discount, but you're booking with their main headquarters which, as I remember, is in Spain. Booking online was easy and communication back and forth was great.

Being a resort dive op, the only real drawbacks were 1) dive times are generally limited as they stay on a schedule 2) being dependent on their schedule for transportation back to resort I stayed at.

On the plus side, I was able to use WhatsApp (if you will have wifi available) to communicate with the dive op (whoever is in charge for the day has a company phone) and the staff was great and will keep your gear if you have any.

Have a great business trip!

Thanks for the link to the shuttle.
Thanks for the tip on the red cap dude. I'm also looking forward to less neoprene!

Great thoughts on staying at the resort and going with Dressel.
