I'm a Fish!
Hi.
Please share your experiences if you're using Monster LA-FE1 adapter.

- Have you precisely measured the length of the extension of the new system? The specifications put the length at 35mm; I assume this is the overall length, and the mounting absorbs part of it

- Since no additional optical elements exist, I assume the new system's focal length is the same. Are there any changes in the minimum focus distance?

Thanks,

I don't own one, but the flange focal distance for Nikon F-mount is 46.5mm, whereas Sony E-mount is 18mm - the difference is, therefore, 28.5mm, which is the effective length of the adapter.

As far as lens optics are concerned, there is no difference. The adapter holds it at the exact same distance from the Sony sensor as it is held on an F-mount Nikon (D)SLR.
