Mljet island (Croatia)
Is there someone that knows this small island of the southern dalmatia? I am thinking to go in and I would appreciate to receive any information or suggestion from who already has been.
I'm not looking for scuba related info only, just looking for any suggestion that can interest a traveller: beach, accomodation, excursions, your impressions...
You can write to me in italian, french or English

thanks

i haven't been there so this is more like 'what i could find on the net'...

as you know mljet is on the far south of our (croatian) coast. it can be reached by a ferry from either rijeka (a very long trip!), dubrovnik or island of peljesac.

some basic info...

there is a national park on it. info about it is right here

there is one diving center on the island called kronmar...

as i see (from a book in front of me :) ) there are 5 diving locations (10-14) on the coast of the island, all rated as 'beginners to advance'... unfortunately the page is on croatian.. sorry :)

regarding general info (sea temp and so) refer to one of my posts

i hope i've helped a little! enjoy your stay and dive safe
