The Florida Marlins are the World Series Champions and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays are the hottest team in the majors right now.

Who could belive it? :dazzler1:

Big league baseball has finally come to the Sunshine State.

How about a Marlins v. Devil Rays World Series this fall? :07:

Checked the Marlins' box scores for the last two games?

Do you guys believe in conspiracies..? Back when MLB was going thru their last labor contract, both teams in Florida were being discussed as possible "contraction" teams. Teams that would be eliminated if the commissioner had his way. I have also heard that the Florida hockey teams could get killed if there is an interruption in the NHL schedule this coming year.

The only pro teams based in Florida that have done well financially and championship-wise has been the football teams.

11 in a row, but the D-Rays are still below .500 and in 3rd in their division. They will have to keep it up for quite a while. It would be fun to watch them take down both New York and Boston though. 10.5 games back is still a lot to make up though.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
