Hi guys,

Attached a file showing my yoke nut removed for the 1st stage of a MK17 reg.

I noticed it loose and air leaking just before a dive - - tightened it by hand till I got back home.

When I unscrewed it I found a tiny o-ring on the end, and this groove with no o-ring in it.

Wondering if I need to source an o-ring for this, or no or-ring goes here.

Also, tightening it back on, I need to locate a special thin wall, short 1" socket ?

Guess I'll be grinding a thinner wall socket and then shortening a socket to make my own rather than paying $37 for one.

No o ring needed in the groove.....the face o ring on the end does the sealing.

As for the nut it's up to you....as you've seen it doesn't take much to make it seal, you could just use a big adjustable spanner and take care not to gouge the nut.
There is a torque spec for the nut so don't go crazy tight, just tight enough that if you were to twist the 1st stage body on a pressurized tank you wouldn't undo the nut.

yes thats correct no o ring
