Found a MK10 Plus with a plastic ring without the normal hole configuration.
Had one MK10 like that that before, but sold it.
Apart from the fact that this MK10 had just a normal lubed main spring in the main spring chamber instead of being SPEC filled, it irritated me that the ring has a small quite round
hole. I'm quite sure that the last time this type of ring didn't have a hole, it doesn't make sense to me.
Any idea why someone wouldn't get the chamber SPEC filled, but drill only one hole into the ring?
For me that seems bizarre.......

Obviously someone didn’t realize the ring was more valuable than the regulator.

Interesting never seen the seat retainer with Scuba pro stamped.

Okay, so that doesn't make sense to anybody here as well, and I'm right that the last time it didn't have a hole.
Didn't realize that the ring is pretty rare, I guess one could repair it with some Super Glue, since it is quite small.
Couv, you are our MK10 specialist, if you like to have it for your impressive collection, send me a PM, I gladly send it to you since I don't need it.
For the future I will check specifically for that particular ring here, which also is quite rare, but pops up from time to time in the bay, and let you guys know......
I thought that the MK10 Plus seat retainer always comes with a Scubapro stamped in here in Europe.
Anyway, thanks for your helpful posts......

Just now I found a photo of the MK10 I sold last summer with this type of ring, and I know now what happened.
At that place where I have now the hole, there is a smaller
nipple to keep the ring in position as we know it from the 'normal' rings.
So that specialist managed to rip it off, it's not drilled.........

I have a Mark X with no stamp on the first retainer cap, although it is an MK 10 and not a plus.

This is NOS spec boot never installed. The hole is always located between the B and A.
