Is it possible to mix and match wings with BCs? For example, hooking OMS wing or Oxycheq wing on a transpac II?

Sometimes, sometimes not.

With doubles there is wide compatibility, all you need is a set of holes at 11" centers

With single tanks and a Single Tank Adapter (STA) there is also wide compatibility.

With "STA-Less" designs you may have problems.

If you have never assembled a BP&W I'd suggest buying a "package deal" from a single source.

Trying to piece together a mix is certainly possible, but to use a PC analogy, the first timer buyer is better off with a factory assembled plug in ready machine. Once familiar with BP&W one is better equipped to assemble a "Frankenstein"

The holes on the Transpac are 11" center to center. There are 3 holes at the top and three at the bottom yet the cam straps cover the middle hole. You could position the wing on the 11" centers using the top or bottom hole in the grouping.

I have the TP Travel wing. The Venture Wing is popular too. Have you tried one of those?

While I'm not emcumbered by a lot of knowledge in this sector; I think 11" centers is pretty standard. I hear there are some differences, in the hook ups, between wings for doubles and wings for singles and I don't know those details.

I would "guess" the wings you mention would work but you know what they say... try it before you by it.

ditto what Tobin said -

Wings and plates/harnesses are probably 90% compatible... the usual problem is that cam band slots don't match up, necessitating an STA.

Aloha, Tim

I see. I was gonna buy a whole set anyway, I just saw a wing for a good price but a different brand.

Thanks, guys

You and Tobin are talking about bp/w's while the OP was talking about Transpac II. I assume you both knew that.

I saw that - but thanks for pointing it out as I can't speak from any experience with a tranpac, like you can. Just pointing out a "possible" (though unlikely) problem.

Thanks, guys. Sometimes, I really wish there is a link that has photos and explain in details about all these stuff.

The problem that Tim and Tobin mention also applies to the TransPac II. I don't have my TransPac in front of me, but I think that the cam bands slots are quite fixed.

Looking at the owner's manual supports this.

If the cam band slots on the TransPac do not line up with the cam band slots on your wing, then it won't work for single tank diving.

Yes!

FYI, the Travel wing only fits the Transpac. If you have a BP the smallest compatible wing is the Venture.
