Just came back from Raja Ampat liveaboard, and want to share a list of secondary things I found extremely useful.
Aside from the most important things like bcd/reg etc, you might want to consider bringing these with you.

Reef hook and/or tank banger
The currents were pretty strong and tank banger just didn't cut it for me.

Neoprene gloves
When you get blisters from the fire corals

Rash Guard

The sun was too harsh to get that nice tan

Large clothes pins
All of us had to fight for it when we realized how humid our cabins were

Anti itch cream & bandaids
Fire corals again

Why would you touch fire corals?

Why would you touch anything during a dive?

I brushed up against it by accident when I had to use my reef hook, I swear :D
It looked deceivingly like long stringy plants.

Everyone got it except for the guides, ha

What I like to do in places like Raja, no matter how warm the water is, is wear a full wetsuit including hood and gloves and overweight myself by about 30lbs. Then I can just sit on the bottom unaffected by the current and I don't even need a reef hook. There is no point having a tank banger either since my buddy always gets taken away by the currents and is too far away to hear it, besides I am too busy taking photos to worry about getting anyone else's attention, but I still always carry one as a safety measure along with a backup snorkel. I try not to smash up the coral too much, especially the big plate looking ones and the giant fans, but sometimes you just can't help it. They grow back quick anyway, and at least I don't get any cuts or stings, so it's all good :)

Only question... do they carry your wetsuit for you at the dive center?
