Nice report Alison. Thanks... I've been meaning to get to Milford for some diving and your post pretty much seals it. Last time I was in NZ I did Poor Knights, next time... Milford Sound!

You're right (only a geo would understand), they were pretty much lost on me - I'm currently reading Bill Bryson's short history of almost everything, and thought they (brachiopods) might make an appearance but not so far.
