Hi guys, got the DS4 XTX50's on time from Diveinn. When putting on the Miflex hoses it just seemed different from my Dacor regs of old, want to make sure it is right. The only seal is the o'ring against the inside surface of the 2nd stage? When tightened the reg is allowed to move back and forth a bit and swivel, is this right? My old regs had more of a positive seal similar to that seen on the 1st stage connections where the o'rings are actually squished against a sealing surface.

Also, should some lube be used on the rings?

Thanks, looking forward to trying this thing out!

I've never seen a regulator that did not have that swivel connection between the LP hose and the 2nd stage. And I dive a number of old metal scubapro regs. Yes, that o-ring should be lubricated.

Yes and yes.

Well, I should be set then. I know it's basic, too basic, it's why I had to ask.
I can't think of any fitting quite like that in anything else I've ever worked on, car, motorcycle, airplane.................hard to believe that seal will even hold the secondary pressure, will test it tomorrow. Thanks.

I have a Miflex on my Apek's reg. It's been on there for over 100 dives now. Never a problem. Not sure about exactly what your talking about unless I pull mine apart to check though.
