I have been very happy with my MK10/G250 regulator but recently heard about the miflex hoses and was wondering two things. Has anyone replace the high volume lp hose from their G250 with miflex? Were you happy with the result? Other question, did you keep the 30" length or did you go with the 26" hose? Just curious if the shorter hose is better for traditional sport diving.

I use (piranha scuba) braided hoses on most of my regulators. A 30 inches hose IMO is too much length for traditional over the shoulder primary, I would go 26 there.

I run a 40 inches hose under my arm for primary with a 70 degree swivel (at least on this one I do). But I am primary donate:

The above reg is sometimes rigged with a G250 secondary on a 22 inches hose, over shoulder, necklaced, instead of the DGX BCI.

I run a 40-inch miflex hose with my G250 on a primary donate setup. The miflex hose doesn't flex like a rubber hose so kind of juts out away from my body during diving. It's a minor issue, and overall I'm happy with it. I also use a miflex hose for the necklaced regulator.

I posted pics in another thread. The yellow hose is the hose ran to the G250 while the blue runs to my necklaced regulator. Here is the link to that post: Dive gear configuration, good ideas!

I use a 24" Miflex hose with a swivel adapter at the second stage. Gives me room to move my head without an annoyingly large loop. 30" would definitely be too much for me.

Is it softer/more flexible?
