Miami to San Juan

I am considering a trip to San juan and seeing as I live on the West Coast of the US, it is a bit pricey to fly there. I was wondering if anyone has ideas, or knows of different options for getting to SJ. I can get to Miami, just don't know how to go the last part. are there boats/ferrys? cheap flights Etc.?

One of the sites I keep in Favorites in my computer is EXPEDIA.com, as they seem to get me better deals that the other travel services. I usually take what I learn there, then go to the airline direct - to save the $5 fee and look for ever better prices.

How about $197 RT...?! Ran across a special that only American Air is offering, then double checked it on AA.com. Good deal. The other airlines will probably match it by Friday.

The dates I used were Saturdays - January 24 and 31st. Other dates could be different?
