All-

We are very excited to be returning to Roatan for our our second time. March 18-24th
We already know we want to dive with Coconut Tree Divers, but are wrestling with accommodations.

2 years ago we stayed at Posada Orquilldas which was a nice enough place. Clean.
But it was a little too in your face with neighbors hanging over our balcony chatting sometimes when we just wanted to chill. Also, although inexpensive it seems we can get more private setting for less money else where.

I have found 2 places, both less expensive, both no generator, and no house keeping.
Has anyone ever stayed at Hidden Gardens or Mi Casa?
I can't find very much info on either.
Hidden Garden Cabins
Mi Casa 2 bed vacation rental property in West End, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Or perhaps maybe someone knows some other little cabin with kitchen for ~350 for the week?

Also, is Fubar still in operation. We had a blast there.

Coconut Tree has cabins behind the store/diveshop. Coconut Tree Vacation Rentals If you're going to dive with them, they offer a package deal.

Some friends of mine stayed there so I was in three of them. One was a bed/bath studio with table and mini-frig. Other friends rented the 2BR, it had a stove, micro, full-size big refrigerator, a sitting area and dining room table, dishes etc. The third one may've had a full-size kitchen in sort of a bigger studio - I was only in it once. It might be the one in the 2nd photo.

All of them are separate with separate deck areas. They're a little older. The way some of them are set, the only people walking on your part of the path would be coming to your cabin. Some overlook the main road into the West End.

It's quiet back there at night, but the CTD building in front kills the ocean breeze and totally blocks the view. It's a gated area on a little rise - if there were other guests there in May, I never saw them. Each deck had a hammock and a couple of chairs - no screens around the deck though. The power never went off there even though the West End went dark at least a couple nights while we were there. A/C might be extra. We booked through Gay - cocoloca - CTD's owner - she set it all up for us.

Check out the website for "The Wood House". We stayed there for three weeks and really enjoyed the place, although the neighbourhood dogs were sometimes annoying, however I think that you are going to find dogs, roosters, and/or early morning birds just about everywhere. We really enjoyed the privacy of the place.
The Wood House will cost you about $650/week
