Metal Detector

I have seen a classified ad for a JWFisher U/W metal detector Pulse 8X for $869.00.

Is this a good deal? Do I need such a good metal detector in Minnesota?

I think this sounds like fun!-better than looking at crapies and sunfish underwater.

I paid 1250$ for mine right from the factory(there made here in mass) Does it come with the case and all accessorys?
Mine came with:
case
charger for plug outlet
charger for the car
underwater handle
above water handle
underwater ear piece
above water headphones
case for accessorys
extra o rings
they are a good metal detector they retail for 1400$ I think?
What condition is it in that matters too?

Which metal detectors are better? JW Fisher(which I always thought was the gold standard) or Fisher?

The guy selling the metal detectors says that JW Fisher's "aren't very good". Of course he's selling Fisher. Here's what he has:

Fisher Impulse Beach / Divers Retail $809.95 with 10.5" Loop

The Fisher's have a lifetime warranty. I think the JW Fisher's have a 2 year warranty. Doesn't matter to me if the thing doesn't work well.
