I had a GREAT Memorial Day today and feel the need to tell you about it - Even if it is cross-posting Christian a bit.

Woke up this morning, after a great sleep-in and had a lovely slow start to the day!

Went to Church for the Memorial Day service, and started feeling very lucky, safe, warm......

["Apologies" - Dive related interlude] - Continued on to Aquarena Springs, where I volunteer - Got to see Bridget, Ethan and a few other friends, took my turn pretending to garden the Cream of Wheat springs while waving at the tour boats as they go by - then retreated to the underwater theater to do some real damage to the hydrilla population. The 70 degree water was SO NICE coming out of the Texas heat [It turned sumer with a vengence yesterday - The news said it hit 109 in San Marcos, where the springs are.]

On the way back - visited my own personal war hero. Dad is 89 & counting and is in a personal home care in Creedmore, on the way back to Austin from San Marcos. He was quite alert today and we had a good chat about all sorts of stuff while watching the owners & their horses outside.

Returned home to my wife & we just finished a dinner of sausage wraps and our own garden vegtables.

Am I, are we, lucky or what!

My deepest personal thanks to all of the veterans, on this board or not!
