Anyone have any experience diving with the Mel Fisher bunch or personally know someone who has? What's up?
Surly:::Sorry. "What's up" is just another way of asking: "What did these people experience if they hooked up with Fisher's group." Regional vocabulary at play here.
Livesforsharks::I've seen about a half dozen programs about Fisher's experiences and the goings on at their shop and the treasure diving plus the division of the artifacts at the end of the year. Yes, I'm interested and might like to sign on for a short time of hard diving but am also wondering if it is a scam. I just wondered if anyone could corroberate the claims made by the operators in these TV programs. If all is true it might be a smart investment plus the diving would be fun (for a while).
My husband worked back in the 70's and 80's with the Fisher's. He found several pounds of emeralds as well as a large chain of gold and more silver coins than he cares to remember. He said that there is some bad "ju-ju" going on. Souls being sold the devil, and the treasure having a curse from all the people that died in the hands of the Conquistadors. He didn't keep any of his treasure earnings, but gave it away, some of the pieces to his insistant brother whose wife was killed in a car accident a few months later.Anyone have any experience diving with the Mel Fisher bunch or personally know someone who has?
