It is a neat place to dive and it is neat to see the mermaids perform (from the auditorium, divers are not allowed in the water during the show).
The mermaids have very good aquatic skills and keep in mind that they are not wearing a mask or any means to correct for distortion.
This reminds me on something that I wanted to follow up since my first visit to Weeki Wachee: Does anyone know about some contact lenses (not goggles) design for free divers to correct for distortion without a mask?
The first time I heard of this contact lenses was in the late 70’s or early 80’s when Jacque Mayol (sp?) was breaking the max depth free diving world records
I have done internet searches with no success. Thanks for any help.
