I just don't log dives
Has anybody tried to use a D300s in a MDX-D300?
Is it possible?
Obviously some functions will not be available if it can be mounted, do you know which?
Regards.

Yes it does ... see my post in the Sea & Sea section

Valid points Chuck, personally I think the housings for digital SLRs are a bit overengineered.

The only things that need to work are the OFF/ON switch, Aperture and manual focus (if I have a gear fitted for this) the rest is really superfluous IMHO

Just looking at the back of the camera itselfthe only major difference is on the right hand side for focussing (spot/matrix) which I don't mess around with underwater anyway, perhaps for some people this is an issue as I prefer to shoot manual focus most of the time.

I will post more pics when I finish work today.

Ok from what you can see on the photos we are looking at a couple of functions only not working:

1. Live View button
2. Info button - but I can see that through the top panel anyway
3. AF area mode selector

All the other buttons appear to match the buttons on the housing.

Maybe YOU want to treat your DSLR like a point and shoot. ;-)

If you are going to shoot wide-angle, you need to be able to
change the shutter speed to get the exposure right.

I've shot everything autofocus for the last 17 years.
I'd sure want to be able to move the focus point, and I suspect
the matrix focus would be handy for pelagics.

I'd sure want to review what I just shot.
