Each one of the mangos on this tree were hand covered with an envelope made from used newspaper to protect them.

Interesting. I have never seen that before. We have a Mango tree in our back yard in Sebastian, FL. We had one when I was a kid in Fort Myers, too, but I have never heard of covering them like that. Does it protect them from bugs?

That's what I am told. Suppose to keep the bugs from getting at them and making black spots on them making them difficult to sell.

I can only imagine the labor and time spent making the pouches then putting them on the mangos.
