MAx Capacity Xd Card for C5050

Does anyone know if the C-5050 accepts anything bigger than a 512 mg Xd Card?

I bought a 1 gig CF card a while back only to find out Xd accepts only up to 512 Mg CF Card.

? You can use a 1GB CF card in your 5050, plus a 512 MB xD card in the second slot.

Agree with the previous poster. I have 2 5050's and have tested a lot of card combinations. Maximum I have found is the 1 Gig CF and a 512 Mbyte Xd. I tend to write pimarily to the Xd and use the CF as my backup. I have 2 - 512 Xd cards and I rotate them in and out of the camera between dives to offload my shots onto a laptop.

Per Oly and some testing, 512 is the biggest XD the 5050 will take. I have heard rumors that it will take a bigger CF but never tried....but then again with 1.5G on board why would you need more.

I have always found that a fast CF is faster than a fast xD. With a good CF card the xD will always be my back-up, because it writes so slow. Between the two of them, 207 RAW images, or 69 per dive on a 3-tank trip. Or I could bring a couple extra cards.

I have a 5060 and use 2 - 2 gig CF cards. They work fine
