I can't recall off the top of my head how conditions have been on Mavericks weekends, but it does look like we're due for a sharp uptick in swells starting Saturday afternoon. Probably good to set expectations.

Sounds like a nice day for surfing, but not worthy of the Maverick's Comp.

SUN N WINDS 10 KT. WIND WAVES 2 FT OR LESS. NW SWELL 7 TO 9 FT.

2010 Mavericks shows the crowd its POWER!

Funny, that's kind of what I was thinking too...wondering if it's gotten so big that they can't afford NOT to have it on any given year.

Funny, that is exactly what I was thinking that they are afraid there isn't going to be any more big storms, and they want the revenue the contest generates. Why didn't they hold it a couple weeks ago? Seems we had been having BIG WAVES for a long time.

We are going diving in Mendo Friday as it should be epic conditions.

MAYBE A wharf two dive great macro
