A few days ago I received an email from Master Liveaboards.... an invoice for a trip in 2026 to Raja Ampat. It is an obvious phishing attempt... me and my group had used one of their boats for a week in the Red Sea back in September 2024 but haven't used them since.

I forwarded the fake email to Master Liveaboards real email address and got a response back asking to confirm my group. Seems their database and email server has been hacked. If you are planning a trip with them, I would recommend calling them directly. They have contacts in the UK, USA and Thailand.

Please be careful, not only with Master Liveaboards but any dive company... hacking and phishing is quite prevalent these days.

Just to follow up.... a manager at Master Liveaboards contacted me... one of their administration people messed up... someone with my same name booked a trip but put my info into the trip by mistake. Took them a week or so to figure out what happened so... all well and good!

So you aren't going to Raja Ampat after all?
