Hello. I just don’t know if this is the right place to post this but I have searched on the Internet and could not find an answer so I post it here and I will not be offended if my thread is deleted.
We all know that only 10 or 20% of the oceans have been explored so far. And we also all know that the deepest point in the oceans is the Mariana Trench. My question is: is the Mariana Trench the deepest point identified so far or are we sure that it is definitely the deepest point? What kind of technology would be used to scan the entire volume of the oceans to be so positive about the Marian trench?
