Hi,
Yesterday while diving here in Norway something happened to both my Mares second stage and octopus and now when I inhale some water goes in. I went to my local diving store and they dont fix or maintain mares brand (bought it through the internet). I already contated the store for the warranty since I only have used it 11 times but there is a time limit.

Now the thing is, next week Im going to Utila on Holiday and I was wondering if somebody could tell me if someone in the island could take a look at them and fix them.
As i said before, there is NO chance to fix it here and I would not mind using something else the first days while they are getting fixed.

Yes thanks I found them in aboututila.com and already sent them a mail. Hopefuly they can help me. Thanks again for your reply

I'm in Utila. My Dacor reg and Uwatec computer had a failure early in the week. The shop I was diving with was celebrating the birthday for their equipment tech guy, and thus I had to look elsewhere if I wanted help in the next 48 hours. Dacor was bought/merged/whatever with Mares a couple years back. So off I went to the Mares shop on Utila. They are limited, but they did have a repair guy on hand with the parts for my Dacor reg. He was able to determine my reg was fine and the failure was in my computer. No charge on checking the regulator, and I bought a new Mares dive computer through them. I was back in the water the following morning thanks to the Mares shop.

How that helps you I'm not sure... but perhaps it at least shows there is some hope for your situation. Good luck.
