good evening all,

I have just purchased the puck pro and took it on two dives today but when I have received my dives in the log book it displays a 20 m/min max accent rate. Can anyone clarify what this is describing as my max depth 29.4 and I had no fast accent alarm and had a slow gradual accent to 6m for a safety stop?

I also have a Puck Pro. Love it!

I have noticed ( as the poster above pointed out ) that sometimes, during accent, if I raise my arm to fast while ascending, it will trigger the fact ascent alarm. Even though my body is going slow enough, my wrist has exceeded the alarm limit.

I have a Puck Pro too. Amazing computer and great value.

It sounds like you triggered the alarm at one point during your ascent. Honestly, I trigger my ascent warning on almost every dive. Mine is set for 30 feet/min max ascent rate to be ultra conservative. I normally go up around 45 feet per minute on free ascents, and stay under that rate while going up a rope.

I don't worry unless I'm going over 60 feet per minute. Sometimes I accidently do by just lifting my arm really fast while ascending. The 30-60 feet per minute ascent mixed with a fast moving arm is enough to trigger the warning.
