Hello! My husband bought a Mares Vector 1000 AT in Dec 2006. He only has about a dozen dives on it and now there is a substantial bladder leak directly behind the backing plate. A local dive shop is sending the BCD back to Mares since it is still covered under Mares' 2-year warranty. Upon visual inspection, the dive shop owner felt that the defect was most likely beyond repair. How does Mares handle BCD replacement under warranty when a particular model is discontinued? Thanks!

Well we are sorry you have this problem. If the BC can be repaired we will, if not we would replace with the same model, if not availible we would replace with a comparable model which in this case would be the Dragon AT. Note the Vector 1000 AT is still in the line, but we do not have them in stock in the US.

Best regards,

Phil
