Mares Origin Sport Airtrim problem with manual inflator

The one way valve on my BCD has quit working.. the little spring loaded thing that is supposed to be inside the hose has detached and falls out and the manual inflation does not work anymore. I bought the BCD from an online retailer (LP) that is a Mares dealer... can I get warranty service on this through a shop local to me? The BCD is only 6 months old, has 15 dives on it and cared for very well, strange its already falling apart.

I finally managed to send my BC in for warranty repairs. The shop tells me if the part is not available it has to come from Italy and that could take a few months!! Is this true? It's the little spring loaded one-way valve on the manual inflator hose.

This is not accurate information. We have this item. Please send me a pm with your contact information and we'll send you the piece you need to repair the bcd. Or you can send the bcd to us and we'll assemble and resend.

I have to say, this customer service is 'above and beyond'. And a reason I keep buying Mares...

I am here in Boca at our service department and we have a big bundle of these as parts. This can be ordered by an authorized Mares dealer.
